Right now we use the APS star catalog, as modified by Greg Aldering, to mask known stars. This is done to suppress missubtractions. We could do better, since the NEAT images should allow much better star/galaxy separation and we could fill in sky coverage gaps that exist in the APS catalog. The idea then is the use the code which Marc Rafelski developed to make a better star catalog. A byproduct would be a galaxy catalog, whihc would be useful for the percentage increase work (see list).
