Welcome to the SNfactory supernova announcement website.
Dear Colleagues,
In the past, the SNfactory has announced its SNe using the ATELs (~210 SNe announced to date). We have long wanted to find a way to announce even more new SNfactory SNe while honoring our commitments to the Palomar observatory QUEST consortium, and not directly undercutting the research goals (and careers) of the projects' students, postdocs, and scientists. We have decided to try releasing our SNe in the spirit of an open access honor system.
